Kilts Farm redesign included integrating an online registration system for workshops and events, simplifying a previous manual process. Additionally, the redesign streamlined financial contributions and membership sign-ups, making both processes more user-friendly to encourage support and community engagement. These improvements aim to strengthen the connection between the farm and its audience, boosting participation and backing.

Brand Development
We worked with the Kilts Farm team to develop a color palette and set of fonts that better reflected their brand identity. Our aim was to create an inviting, straightforward, and informative online presence. Through mood boards and a branding workshop, we established a clear design direction. This led to the development of a core theme, supported by a progressively evolving design system designed to accommodate their expanding content.
Improved Workshop Details Page
Our aim was to create a comprehensive workshop details page that presents essential information clearly and concisely. We designed the page to accommodate diverse content types, blending optional structured sections like the "workshop schedule" and "instructors profiles" with mandatory free-form areas such as the "description," all while maintaining a consistent and visually appealing display.
Online Payment Integration
We developed a comprehensive system for online payments, streamlining registrations for workshops, events, and memberships, as well as facilitating donations. This involved creating a shopping cart feature that allowed users to combine registrations and donations into a single checkout process. Our integration also included automated email notifications for both the client and their users regarding transactions, with all information meticulously recorded in spreadsheets for the client's records.
Member Exclusive Content
Since Kilts Farm members get discounted pricing on workshops, we developed a way for them to quickly validate their membership and get the discounted price on the website. A key challenge for Kilts Farm was managing discounted pricing for their members on workshop registrations. To address this, we implemented a streamlined system that allows members to quickly validate their status directly on the website. This integration ensures that eligible members automatically receive the discounted rate, simplifying the registration process and improving the overall user experience.
Fundraising Promotion
To promote the Kilts Farm fundraising initiative, we developed a dedicated page. This page featured a widget that displayed the current amount of money raised against the fundraising goal. This widget was strategically placed on both the homepage and on event pages organized for the project. This ensured that users could easily access information about the fundraising efforts and learn about various ways to contribute.
